Alpacas are one of the cleanest animals in the world, and are known for their ‘personal hygiene’, whether in the wild or on farms. The fibre itself is clean, dry and porous, an environment which is naturally hostile to Dust mites, which are one of the most common causes of allergies and asthma. Alpaca fleeces also contain very low levels of lanolin, found in sheep’s wool, meaning they are a lot cleaner.Care Instructions: The optimum cleaning method for Best of Alpaca Duvets is a gentle dry-cleaning. However they may be washed in a washing machine set to the Wool/Delicate setting. Drying must take place on a clothes line. NEVER tumble dry.
